Rodney Moore, Kara Davis

See you on Thursday 21 October October

Dear,
I apologize if this month I did not write the summary of last meeting, I spent a hectic time to say the least ... I had also lost the notes I found only two days ago. In short
cite the titles of which we discussed in September:
Coe: The House of Sleep; Tolstoy: Childhood Adolescent Youth, Elisabeth George: And deliver us by Father R. Harris: Pompeii Baricco: Emmaus, Michael Meyer: The Year that Changed the World, Muriel Barberry: culinary ecstasy.
After intensive reading of the first 800 pages of War and Peace, made possible by travel alone, in 3 weeks at Livorno are able to read just another 100. In fact, the novel requires a great stillness, silence and a certain detachment from the great little everyday problems. In bed at night I can find the right atmosphere, but a little before I go .. Susanna
My neighbor lent me yesterday, "And deliver us from the Father" and I dived into the new reading, without abandoning the first.
Recently I had the wish to re-read "Parallel Lives" of Plutarch and of Eugenie Grandet Balzac, propose them to you right now to read once in a while something together. We will decide on 21 of course considering other proposals.
Then I wait for our tea! Grace, I hope to see you. A hug to all
Gloria
