Camera Inside Intercourse

LAST NIGHT

Last night the opening film of the Rome Film Festival, after much talked about is finally in all Italian theaters. Opera's first director Massy Tadjedin - American of Iranian origin - which brings to the screen the thirty-six hours of a couple in love with a film distinctly melodramatic tones. Michael and Joanna are a happily married couple, have been together since college, he designed the renovation of buildings, she tries to recover from writer's block after the success of the first book. The newlyweds live a comfortable life in their expensive apartment and modeled the perfect picture of a young bourgeois couple. Aumenta di conseguenza the attraction experienced by him to Laura. Joanna stayed in New York to try to write the book runs into Alex (Guillaume Canet), an old love. A moment and the passion again.
Last night investigates the matchmaking, shows two diametrically opposite points which create betrayals and lies covered by a veil of hypocrisy that seems to characterize the relationship. Joanna is faced with a failure to love and relive the passion by spending the night with Alex in the background of a fascinating New York guardian of the deepest secrets of its inhabitants. One can not help but notice the strong presence of the music of British composer Clint Mansell, which greater emphasis, through its poetic cadences, the entropy of the feelings, as the secret ingredient of this sublime film. Massy Tadjedin shows us the development of two stories on two different levels and reveal the intricate world of irrational relationship. The "balance" instead of Michael principles are threatened and tempted by the attentions of the handsome fellow on that side which proves to be more free, confusing the star and leads to a loss of identity. Here, the betrayal is centered by carnality as opposed to that of Joanna, which reflects the deep feeling, characterized by the impossibility of satisfaction. Exceptional cast and all at their roles, especially for the young Keira who beautifully embodies the role of prissy young wife forced to face the unpredictability of fate.
